If you're like me, you're already creating a travel bucket list for 2019. And because I'm a sucker for a unique destination at a reasonable price, I've linked up with Airbnb to check out some of their top destinations to visit next year.

They range from locations that are re-emerging after natural disasters, to spiritual heartlands and vehicle-free islands with must-see beaches and wildlife. Airbnb's trend expert, Ali Killam shared, "As we approach the year's end, we started looking ahead to our guests' travel plans for the new year. Based on a combination of Airbnb research, booking and wish list growth data, we are once again forecasting growing interest in more off-the-beaten-path regions, cities and towns to explore, such as Kaikoura, New Zealand, Calabria, Italy and Accra, Ghana."

Based on booking data, she added that "wellness, food and one-of-a-kind art immersions are really resonating with travelers for 2019." So get ready to book that flight, there's something for everyone on this list:

1. Xiamen, China:

This vehicle-free island located on the southeast coast of China has seen a 283 percent increase in bookings. The port city is perfect for urban hipsters who enjoy bicycling, skateboarding, cool museums, and bookstores. Try a seafood dish, take a bread baking class, or go on a pub crawl. The weather tends to be mild all year, making it an ideal tourist destination.

Melanie Fiona is back! After taking a little more than a decade-long hiatus, she has officially made her return to music and blessed us with two singles, “Say Yes” and “I Choose You.” While both singles are very different from each other, they both reflect who she is today and the type of music she wants to make. In our conversation, the mom of two expressed what she learned during her time away.

“It's interesting, even when I said it is like coming back, I don't ever feel like I really left because I was always still performing. I've still been public. It's not like I went into being this recluse person or version of myself, but the thing that I really learned in this process is that I think things take time,” Melanie says in a xoNecole exclusive.

10 Words That Should Never Be Used To Describe Your Friendships

Personally, I’m not big on New Year’s Resolutions. A big part of the reason is because I think that there is a huge mind f-ck that comes from thinking that something miraculous automatically happens on January 1. Y’all, every day is new — so, if you want to change your life (or something about it), right now would be the time to do it…because why wait when you know that tomorrow is promised to no one?

Not to mention the fact that I think a huge factor in why, reportedly, almost 90 percent of people “fail” their resolutions before Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s Day rolls around is because people apply way too much pressure and stress onto themselves to come up with some on-10 willpower plans a couple of days before the ball drops and the new year begins.
