At the beginning of this year, Summer Walker's only goal was to purchase a Mazda but last Friday, the 23-year-old artist released an album that has the potential to help her could buy her the whole dealership.

The singer rose to popularity after the debut of her mixtape, Last Days of Summer, last October, and one year later, Summer is here to put her foot on the industry's neck once again with her 18-track debut album, Over it.

Featuring collaborations Usher, Bryson Tiller, Jhene Aiko, 6LACK, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, Over It hit No.1 on the Apple Music charts yesterday and is projected to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 next week; since, the singer has garnered the attention of quite a few industry heavy-hitters.

After the album's release, Drake even slid into the singer's DMs to let her know that she was the muse for his two latest songs; but before she became our favorite artist's favorite artist, she was a pole-dancer from Atlanta who just wanted to play her guitar and make herbal soap.

If you haven't heard of Summer yet, you will soon; here are 3 things you need to know about the up-and-coming songstress before she takes over the charts:

1.She's Extremely Introverted

If you're hoping to see an interview where Summer gives us all the details on her feelings and emotions during the creation of her music, keep hoping, sis. After growing up in a large family environment and then witnessing a divorce between her parents, Summer says that she's learned to greatly appreciate her alone time, especially when she's creating. In an interview with Up Next, she said:

"We got older…my parents got a divorce, so it'd be, like, just me again. As time went on I didn't really hang out with people. It takes a lot of energy out of me to maintain multiple relationships."

Because she's an artist and, like most artists, is sensitive about her shit, she likes to cultivate her creative vibes in the studio alone or with her producer, London On Da Track, who is also her boo. According to Summer, the only time she isn't nervous is on stage.

2.Her Father Is British

Born to an American mother and a father from England, in an interview with Beats One, the singer said that although she's always wanted to live in London, she probably won't because it's too damn cold.

3.She's Always Wanted To Make Herb-Infused Soaps

While many artists have dreams of owning a big fancy house with lots of cars, Summer says all she really needs is a Mazda and a place to plant her garden. Although Summer has never actually made infused-soaps, the singer says that it's a dream she's had for years. According to her, true success means having a house where she can grow a garden of herbs that she will later use to make DIY beauty products.
