With all the uncertainty in the world around us, we can always rely on our imagination for some old-fashioned escapism.

Delusion has become a popular hack for not just manifesting our desired reality but using the present moment to call in all the love, opportunities, and overall happiness, making “delulu the solulu” for many.

From “Lucky Girl Syndrome” to adopting positive thinking to create a fulfilling life, manifestations of all kinds have become the technique of choice for those looking to take control of their lives and achieve their personal and professional goals. And at the center of this craze is the Law of Assumption.

What is the Law of Assumption?

Manifestation has a long history. The Law of Assumption, in particular, offers a compelling approach to making your dreams a reality, rooted in the idea that our beliefs and assumptions shape our reality. Originating from the teachings of Neville Goddard, this law suggests that by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, we can manifest our desires and achieve personal growth.

According to this principle, our subconscious mind accepts our assumptions as facts and works to bring them into our physical world. On a metaphysical level, by consciously directing our thoughts and beliefs, we can influence our experiences and outcomes. In essence: what we assume to be true becomes our reality.

As Goddard suggests, "Man, by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled and then living and acting on this conviction, changes his future in harmony with his assumption, making the principle all about aligning our inner state with our desired outer reality. Meaning, that if we can vividly imagine and believe in our success, happiness, or any other goal, we are more likely to bring it to fruition.

How To Use Your Imagination For Personal Growth and Change

Goddard believed that imagination is the key to transforming reality. During meditation, he encouraged individuals to use their imagination to vividly visualize their desires as already fulfilled. This process involves creating detailed mental images and experiencing the emotions associated with achieving their goals.

A central tenet of Goddard's teachings is the concept of "feeling the wish fulfilled." In meditation or journaling, this means not only visualizing the desired outcome but also immersing oneself in the feelings of having already achieved it. According to Goddard, this emotional experience helps to impress the subconscious mind, which then works to bring the imagined scenario into physical reality.

When practicing the Law of Assumption, optimizing your sleep stages is key to putting your manifestations on the fast track. Goddard often recommended a specific meditative state known as the "state akin to sleep" (SATS). This is a drowsy, relaxed state that occurs just before falling asleep or upon waking.

In this state, the mind is more receptive to suggestions and impressions. Goddard advised using SATS to deeply imprint the desired vision onto the subconscious mind.

When it comes to creating the life of your dreams, the goal is to remain consistent in the frequency of your desires and to take the feeling with you in every space you enter. When we maintain our faith that better is here, in the present moment, and manage our inner dialogue to speak positivity, we can’t help but unlock all that God and the Universe have to offer.

What we tell ourselves to be true will ultimately be, so adopt the habit of affirming, positive self-talk, that aligns with your desired outcome and highest potential.

After taking a little more than a decade-long hiatus, she has officially made her return to music and blessed us with two singles, “Say Yes” and “I Choose You.” While both singles are very different from each other, they both reflect who she is today and the type of music she wants to make. In our conversation, the mom of two expressed what she learned during her time away.

“It's interesting, even when I said it is like coming back, I don't ever feel like I really left because I was always still performing. I've still been public. It's not like I went into being this recluse person or version of myself, but the thing that I really learned in this process is that I think things take time,” Melanie says in a xoNecole exclusive.
