We're right around the corner from Christmas, and there are so many emotions brewing.

Some of us are frantically preparing for holiday parties and last-minute shopping for gifts. Others are in a mental state of bliss that's heightened with each Christmas song and ugly sweater we encounter. Yet others of us are battling through conflicting feelings about the holiday season due to the loss of loved ones or other traumatic experiences that've put a damper on the Christmas spirit.

Either way, each of us deserves to remember ourselves during this time of giving by indulging in self-care. As such, xoNecole encourages you to take part in our 12 days of Christmas Self-Care Challenge as the ultimate gift to yourself. Each day, participate in the designated activity below. 12 Days Of Christmas Self-Care Challenge

Day 1: Participate In Guided Meditation.

Guided meditation is an excellent way to ease holiday stress by connecting with your higher self. Indulge in aromatherapy as you follow the techniques laid out in a calming meditative practice bright and early or before bed. Not sure where to start? YouTube and iTunes have great options tailored to fit whatever your intention is for the day.

Get on the elliptical, try out CrossFit, or go to yoga. These are all good opportunities to be good to your temple by working out. You might be surprised at how energized you feel after.

Sometimes adulting gets in the way of catching up with the people who matter most. Make a date to video chat with an old friend you haven't talked to in a while. Enjoying a few laughs and reminiscing over fun times is always good for the soul.

When was the last time you took a peaceful walk? Carve out some time to walk through a beautiful trail, an arboreous park, or even throughout your neighborhood to clear your thoughts. Focus on being present and using the quiet time to reflect on gratitude.

Day 5: Binge-watch Your Favorite Shows

Order takeout, put on your favorite loungewear, and totally dedicate yourself to binge-watching your favorite shows. Give yourself a reality break that doesn't require you to think about all the things of the world. It'll be a total treat.

We are always thinking about what's next or how we could do more. Take a sec to acknowledge all the progress you've already made in a letter of encouragement. Motivate yourself to keep pushing forward with words that you can go back to whenever you need a gentle reminder that you're the bomb.

Girls love massages almost as much as they love Beyoncé. Don't miss the opportunity to get pampered at your favorite spa. It's great for tension relief and relaxation – two things you deserve.

Day 10: Go To Dinner/Lunch With The Girls

Set up a dinner or a lunch date with the girls to get in some much-needed quality time. Exchange stories, ideas, and laughs until you are full in more ways than one.

Day 11: Take A Personal Day & Do Nothing

Decide to stay in for a day in the middle of the work-week. While you are home, don't lift a finger. Simply allow yourself to be.

Day 12: Get Dressed Up Or Get A Makeover

Getting dressed up is a mood changer that sets the tone for a good day. Choose a day to get dolled up more than usual or set an appointment to get a makeover. You can do things like change up your hairstyle or head over to your favorite makeup artist for a beat face.
