Mya Turned 41 This Month! Here Are Her Best Anti-Aging Secrets

It's been 22 years since Mya dropped her debut album and just like wine, our good sister is only getting finer with time. While this may seem like modern-day witchcraft to many, the singer says that the true secret behind her ageless beauty is self-care.

Mya, who celebrated her 41st birthday earlier this month, is proof that black will only crack if you're not taking care of it, and one of the many ways she does that is by sticking to a strict vegan diet. In a previous interview, she explained:

"Some of the changes I've experienced since being vegan, I'm no longer anemic. I'm intaking so many more healthy foods: vegetables, nuts, greens, seeds that are iron-rich."

Along with improving her coverall health, Mya says that going vegan has done wonders when it comes to her skin:

"I thought you had to have meat to have protein and get your iron, and that's just false information. I no longer get sick. Dairy has mucus buildup, which is awful for singers. I don't get sick. My skin is clear. I lost 30 pounds. I don't have to go to the gym as much, and I just have clarity…Everything in my life has benefited me just eating natural foods."

"For great skin, it's inside out. Drinking lots of water as well as lots of natural juices. Trying to get away from the sugars, which will break you out.
