Since Meagan Good’s divorce from DeVon Franklin, the actress has been on the go. She just wrapped up filming season two of her hit Prime Video show Harlem and she recently starred in the new Netflix film Dayshift alongside Jamie Foxx. Now, it appears that she is taking a much-needed vacation.
Last week, the 41-year-old began sharing posts of herself in Rome, Italy. The first post showed Meagan posing in the middle of the cobblestone street with the caption “ᴏʜ ʜᴇʏ ʀᴏᴍᴇ . ɪᴛ’s ᴛɪᴍᴇ .. ᴇᴀᴛ. ᴘʀᴀʏ. ʟᴏᴠᴇ.”
The phrase “Eat. Pray. Love.” comes from the book Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia which also turned into a film starring Julia Roberts. The book and the film are about a woman who begins traveling the world to find herself again after her divorce.
In Meagan’s case, she wasn’t alone. The L.A. beauty also brought her sisters LaMyia and Lex Good along for the ride. In a separate post, Meagan shared a video collage with her sisters enjoying their time in Italy.
“ʟɪᴠᴇ . #sistersareoneofGodsgreatestcreations ✨🇮🇹,” she wrote.
Meagan and DeVon’s divorce rocked social media, and many wondered what happened. The former couple was admired by many and they often opened up about their relationship and wrote the New York Times Bestseller The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love.
After 11 years together, they separately announced their split from each other on Dec. 21 on their prospective Instagrams. The divorce was settled in April 2022.
However, Meagan has been very hopeful for her future. In a May 2022 interview with PEOPLE, she touched on the many changes she underwent to get to where she is now.
"It's been a lot of changes like going through a divorce and having a hit TV show where I'm playing the character of my dreams and having massive support from Amazon," she said.
"It's like, 'All right, Lord. I'm walking this out, figuring it out,'" she added. "It's just about being present and being really thankful and just taking everything in as it's coming. I think that's the biggest thing for me in the season [is] just being present and every single day and being really thankful for my quality of life and the people I get to do life with."
More recently, she toldEntertainment Tonight that she is looking forward to becoming a mother.
“A lot more directing. Hopefully kids at some point, or a kid,” she revealed.
