Gloria "GloRilla" Woods unveils the secret to her success in the music industry.

In 2022, the rapper catapulted to stardom when her song "F.N.F (Let's Go)" went viral on social media. That same year, Woods signed to Yo Gotti's CMG/Interscope Records label and released her debut album, Anyways, Life's Great.

Anyways, Life's Great would chart at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 200. Woods' triumph doesn't stop there. The Memphis native ultimately earned various award nominations, including the 2023 Grammys in the Best Rap Performance category for "F.N.F (Let's Go)."

Since then, Woods has continued to dominate the music charts with her hit single "Yeah Glo!" her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, and her tour with Megan Thee Stallion.

Fresh off the heels of her mixtape, Woods revealed during an interview with "The Angie Martinez Show" that detoxing and limiting distractions have been imperative to her accomplishments.

In the discussion, the 24-year-old opened up about her detox process, which began earlier this year, and her new goal.

When asked about what her detox consisted of, Woods shared that she eliminated numerous things in her life, including people and excessive drinking.

"I cut people off; I didn't cut smoking off… Slimming down on the drinking. That's what that was about," she said.

The "Tomorrow 2" emcee added that detoxing from those specific things helped decrease the amount of distractions in her life.

"Fasting from a certain thing that you feel like might be distracting you… That's what I did for the first month."

Further into the conversation, Woods explained that one of the difficulties she faced during her recent detox was remaining celibate.

"I was celibate… It's very hard," she said. Despite the struggles, Woods shared that she has gotten used to her detox so much so that she is "still" practicing it today.

"I'm used to it now. I'm actually still doing it," she added. "I might have cheated once or twice, but I'm actually still on it."

GloRilla On Her New Goal

Toward the end of the segment, Woods discussed why detoxing is important to her and her new professional goal.

The "All Dere" rapper disclosed that detoxing has helped her become "locked in" with herself.

"I'm just trying to lock in with myself, you know what I'm saying. All the way locked in," she said.

Woods revealed that having that sense of clarity has resulted in her remaining booked and busy, a goal she wants to continue throughout her career.

"I don't want no breaks because I was at home like three months straight in the wintertime. Basically, almost the whole winter, I spent a lot of time at home, and initially, I thought I was going to like it because the whole year, I had been traveling and just moving around. I'm like I can't wait to just go and enjoy home because I had actually bought a new place."
