Ari Lennox Tweets About Never Being In Love: 'I Don't Be Tryna Settle'

While she never disclosed what motivated her to share the realization on Twitter, many fans were taken aback due to the fact that the R&B beauty sings about love and relationships. Ari even retweeted a fan who wrote, "love is meant for everyone. we just do a better job at pushing it away than preserving it," to which the singer responded, "Whew a word."

It seems that other fans took her tweets as a sign to shoot their shot at her. Not too long after she shook the internet, she tweeted, "This was not a cry for dates btw more so like finding out the truth about santa."

But just because the "Pressure" singer hasn't experienced love, that doesn't mean she doesn't have potential suitors. Back in March 2020, actor LaKeith Stanfield professed his interest in Ari on Instagram Live. Ari was discussing the film The Photograph which stars LaKeith and Issa Rae on Instagram Live when the multi-talented actor hopped in the comment section.

"I was in the theaters by myself, in a hoodie just looking pitiful. No date, nothin' just sitting there, shedding tears thinking of my got damn love life and how it's exceedingly nonexistent," she ranted. LaKeith responded, "Thank you love 🌹." But what he said next took the singer by surprise. "Can you be my date? Let's go," he wrote.

At that point, Ari was skittish and tried to change the subject. "LaKeith I don't have time for this right now because you're joking, I don't have time, no. We're changing the subject," she said shyly.

It appeared nothing came out of their conversation, but we're hopeful that the 30-year-old will find love one day.
