August 13 is National Prosecco Day, and if you like to break out the bubbly, now is the perfect time to do so. The holiday, which was founded by Riondo Prosecco in 2011, was created to celebrate the popular sparkling wine, and now that you know about it, you can celebrate it too. Here are a few ways to indulge in some wine time this holiday.

Order Up The Bubbly At Your Local Restaurant

Whether it’s brunch or happy hour, prosecco can elevate any occasion. One way to celebrate National Prosecco Day is by going to your local restaurant and ordering a bottle for the table. I recently visited R3 Rosendale Concepts in Atlanta for happy hour, and since my friend and I were in a fancy mood, we ordered a couple of glasses of prosecco as well as food. We enjoyed the delicious homemade chips and arugula pizza and were pleased with how attentive the staff was. If you’re in Atlanta, I would recommend this place, but if you live elsewhere, find a local spot that is also celebrating the holiday.

Thanks to Issa Rae, we now know about prosecco with a splash of vodka, but there are some other cool recipes to check out as well, like this one on TikTok. The “Quick and Easy” Raspberry Lemonade Champagne Spritz is a great one to try on a perfect summer Sunday.

All you need is raspberries (muddled), a shot of vodka, lemonade (Calypso lemonade is used in the TikTok), champagne or prosecco, and a few sliced lemons.

Last but not least, turn National Prosecco Day into an all-day affair. Have your friends over for games like Prosecco Pong, break out the charcuterie boards, and of course, prosecco. Or, if you want to get out of the house, consider sitting pretty by the pool or throwing a pool party. Have a picnic, cookout, or attend a paint and sip class. There are so many ways that you can celebrate the holiday, and if all goes well, why not make it an annual thing?

Focusing On This One Word Can Be A Total Marriage Game-Changer

A few days ago, while watching a YouTube live, a guy got on to give a semi-rant about 1) why he doesn’t think that marriage is a partnership and 2) how he really wishes that people would stop using the word “partner” for that type of relational dynamic. Boy, oh boy, if there is one thing that I truly loathe about social media, it’s the fact that people have really gotten so caught up in how words are used by random folks on various platforms that they forget (or did they ever really even know?) what actual dictionary definitions are.
