Id prefer to correct natural teeth over sometimes unrealistic looking veneers.

  2. Invisalign and braces are not “inexpensive… “

    1. That’s a huge dollar range…….👀 Veneers are for aesthetics.. to look good. It’s usually just across the smile line. The entire mouth is never done, because it’s not functional. Braces and Invisalign are primarily used to correct function, and aesthetics are a bonus.

    2. Shani Nicole says:

My braces were a little over $4,000. So you’re talking $4,000+ for all of your teeth compared to 600 to 2500 per to you have 36 teeth in your mouth

    3. They are Inexpensive compared to veneers!

    4. Braces and Invisalign are not inexpensive. Lol. Sometimes the treatment isn’t comparable. Sometimes it is.

  5. Melyssa Ryan says:

I want veneers so bad but my doctor told me not to because they shave down teeth and you need the nutrients in your natural teeth

    (0)
    1. My dentist told me the exact same thing and looked at me like I was crazy

      (0)
    2. Yes they shave your real teeth down to little nubs and veneers have to be touched up every 10 yrs

      (0)
    3. Modern technology has eliminated them having to shave your teeth down to nubs.

  6. Tamara Lair says:

    I want invisilign

  7. Keyshia Cole has nice teeth too. I wonder if they’re also veneers……?

    1. Invisalign can close a gap too.

    2. Tia Butler says:

She got her gap closed and Veneers..her gap was cute though

    3. They are remember her teeth used to look like Cardi’s old teeth, she had a gap too if I’m not mistaken

      (0)
    4. I remember her gap. It was almost complimentary to her appearance imo. She was fortunate enough to have straight teeth with her gap.

      (0)
    5. I think Keesha Cole had a gap when she first came out… I THINK

  8. I’ll take braces over the Steve Harvey chompers lol

  9. I have braces now (the metal ones) I don’t mind that. Can’t wait to see how they change everything tho

  10. I love my natural teeth & other people’s natural teeth. I would never cover my teeth with veneers.

  11. Some of the those smiles cost $30,000 to $50k easy. Calicium deposits = tartar a.k.a. brush your teeth.

  12. Toya Menzie says:

Don’t do it. I had braces. My teeth were fine but somehow I let my dentist convince me to get veneers on two teeth that were short because of having teeth removed when I had braces. There was nothing wrong with my smile. They shave off your teeth to a point. You have to keep them up. I’ve had them replaced because nothing lasts forever. I tell everyone not to do it. Now if you have a chipped tooth, it may be worth it.

  13. Shani Nicole says:

I have braces and once these come off I am having veneers put on my front two teeth because one of them has been chipped since I was a little girl but the chip is so tiny that people didn’t recognize it until I got the braces and straightened out my teeth now it’s very easy to see.

  14. Veneers are bad…very bad on the long run/term.

  15. I did Invisalign and if you don’t wear your retainer religiously they’ll move again. I’ll be getting veneers

    (0)
    1. That’s what happened to me. Closed my gap 2 years later gap again. $5000 down the drain.

      (0)
    2. Yes same here. I’m not wasting that money again. I did Invisalign a time and a half. First time paid $5000 they moved I went back before they completely reverted and paid another $1500 I’m done with them. New dentist said try again and get a fixed retainer behind those teeth nah girl I’m done with Invisalign DONE

      (0)
    3. Where you warned of this by the dentist? I was considering Invisalign but I’m not so sure now.

      (0)
    4. No I wasn’t warned they would move so easily but this was years ago when they first came out. I guess because enough people complain now they know and suggest a fixed retainer behind your teeth

      (0)
  16. If I could afford them I’d get them but I’m getting invisalign in a few months.

  17. I had metal braces for 8 weeks when I was 25 to correct a gap in my front teeth. Invisalign was much more expensive if I would have gotten that. So happy I did the metal braces! My dentist didn’t recommend veneers either because of it not looking like natural teeth and that he felt like it was too extreme for my case.

  18. Gina Wallace says:

I wanted veneers but it’s too many issues — they ground down your actual teeth and they need to be redone every couple of years and what if you don’t have the money?? Just don’t be lazy and get braces or invisalign

    (0)
    1. No hun that’s not how porcelain veneers work. What you are referring to is composite veneers. Also, Invisalign and braces can only align your teeth. They don’t do anything for the length, shape or color and that’s where veneers come in.

  19. Fanta Jordan says:

Wow I didn’t know they were that expensive! They look really great though!

  20. Got mine done 2 years ago. Best decision of my life. Changed my life completely. Before I rarely smiled. Now all I do is smile.

    1. I encourage anyone who wants them to get them. Do your research. Check reviews. Check the dentists’ credentials. Shop around. When I first started my search I went to Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry and they wanted $30,000 to do 20 veneers; 10 at the top and 10 at the bottom. It was ridiculous. I did NOT need 20 veneers. I decided to shop around. I went to 13 different dentists before I found Dr. Vargas. I needed the 6 at the top and opted for the 4 at the bottom so that I’d looked uniformed when smiling and talking. Yes they shave your teeth down but your veneers can last 10 years. And to me the risk was worth the cost. My self confidence SOARED. I VERY RARELY smiled and showed my teeth. And whenever I would laugh hard I would ALWAYS cover my smile with one hand. I was envious of people with beautiful smiles. I never wore lipstick as I didn’t want to draw attention my teeth. But NOW… I have three different shades of red lipstick. Lol. I smile more which makes me more approachable. I love my veneers. And when the 8½ year mark comes around I’ll start preparing to get them done over. I used CareCredit to pay for the surgery. Once I paid CareCredit off I closed the credit card and kept it moving.

I’m happy for you. You’re gonna LOVE your smile.

    2. Dr. Lida Vargas. I went to Virginia to get them done. I actually found her on Groupon gurl! I called her office and asked every question I could think of. She was charging $500 a tooth. I got 6 done at the top and 4 at the bottom. Took 2 days. She used CEREC technology.

    3. Keisha Fowler they look great!

    4. Your teeth look natural and beautiful! Very pretty and fit you! Who did them and how much did it cost if you don’t mind????

      (0)
    5. Thank you! I went to Dr. Lida Vargas in Fairfax, Virginia. I paid $5000 for 10 veneers; 6 on top and 4 at the bottom. The procedure took two days. I got teeth molds and temporaries the first day and the second day she applied my veneers. Here’s her website: https://www.virginiadentalgroup.com

I posted the link to her Groupon special she has going (the same one I took advantage of) above.

    6. Cora Stanley says:

Keisha Fowler you look great hun. Definitely got a colgate smile…i dont blame ya..i would be smiling all the time too….
Question : so after the 10 year or more mark… will all eventually have to be replaced or what?

      (0)
    7. Not necessarily. You SHOULD replace them if:
-Your gums pull away from your veneers and the margin begins to show due to some sort of dental disease.

      You COULD replace them if:
-Your gums pull away from your veneers and the margins begin to show due to normal aging and NO dental disease. In this case it’s optional and replacing your veneers is solely for cosmetic uniformity.

And yes, I’d replace them all.

  23. Yvonne Bryan says:

Went out to dinner with friend who spent 20k on veneers, next thing I know it’s Halloween and she is searching her white sauce for the tooth…..she found it eventually but I could not finish my meal due to the trauma of her fang.

    I think it’s awesome!!

  26. The dentist who did Cardi’s teeth said it cost as much as a luxury car

  27. I learned early on…the importance of taking care of our natural teeth. When I see some of these luminescent looking teeth…look like chiclets gum…all artificially white. And then there are those veneers that give some that horselike appearance about the mouth. The surface isn’t thin…

    (0)
  28. Tia Butler says:

Cardi mouth look a lot better though..and it looks natural for her mouth

  29. Cora Stanley says:

All of em got damn veneers… but if u research about the procedure it may not be worth it…they look good tho
