Okay, A$AP Rocky really be out here modelling for real, for real and we’re definitely not mad at him!
Fresh off of a fierce, high fashion couples shoot in Vogue with his former boo Chanel Iman, the handsome Harlem rapper is looking pretty spiffy for Salvatore Ferragamo’s new “A Man’s Story” web series.
For the new campaign, A$AP — real name Rakim Mayers — donned some quality pieces from the luxury Italian brand’s Spring 2015 collection, including a giraffe-printed scarf, some killer shades, studded high-tops and leather duffel bags.
Famed photographer Francesco Carrozzini also captured a short clip of A$AP speaking on the first time he realized he’d “made it.”
So, ‘A Life’, downtown New York City I was at this event. They wanted me to come by and do three songs. And when I say it was a line around the corner, people couldn’t even get in and I just kept thinking to myself, “Jeez, all these people are here for me? Like, oh man, this can’t be real.” It was like my first time, my first show, it was right after I released the video, so I’m like, “Jeez man, this is kind of incredible.” It turned out crazy. People were dressed how they saw me dressed in these videos and stuff like that. And when I got in the car, I got the car on my way home and I cried because I was happy. That’s when I felt like I’d made it.
This isn’t the first time the 26-year-old has shown off his modeling skills. A$AP’s already worked with Alexander Wang, DKNY, Mr. Porter and has been featured in Teen Vogue, American Vogue and Vogue L’Uomo magazines.
